Android 12 on a Samsung S10+ Phone

Up until just a few days ago I could view X (twitter) directly using the Firefox browser and get the same experience I get on my Linux desktop. X changed something and will no longer load directly in the browser, but passes me off to the X app which I had to load on my phone.

Is there a way to bypass this and allow Firefox to directly access the X feed as it was doing a week ago?

BTW, the same thing happened long ago to the AP News site. However, on one phone I have a legacy link that still allows direct access, However, any attempt to create a new direct link forces me to the AP News app.

Account synchronisation has stopped working. If I open the browser on my mobile device without using a VPN, the browser says I’m not logged in. However, if I open the browser via a VPN, everything loads correctly. Could this be because I live in Russia? I’m using the latest version of Firefox from Google Play on my device.

It is not a problem, but I would like to know why did my Firefox app (phone) change its logo and name to "Firefox Preview". Was it me that accidentally activated it?

I just read what I think addresses my problem but I'm too thick to Understand it all. My goal is to make my android browsing as private as possible without messing anything else up. Obviously I failed. In trying to do that I made it I made my bookmarks unreachable. What can I do to start over? Gary

I'd like to try out the built-in VPN, but can't find it. I've seen many older posts about this, but nothing recent. It's now August of 2026.

I'm using Firefox 154.0.1 on Android 16. I'm in the United States.

I'm logged into my browser with my Firefox account. I know it's working as I can open browser tabs between my mobile device and other devices using my account.

I'm not seeing the built-in VPN feature.

"VPN" does not appear in Settings as described in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mobile-android-vpn

By comparison, attached is a screenshot of what I have in Settings > Privacy and Security.

Any guidance?

I installed Firefox and Firefox Beta on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra tablet. It will not let me log into my Firefox account. When I try scanning the QR Code from Firefox on my Windows Device, it scans the QR Code, but nothing happens. If I click log in with "email" nothing happens. I am signed in on my Windows Computer no problem, but Android will not let me on my Tablet, but let me log in on my Samsung Z Fold 7 Android phone. My Tablet is running Android 16 with Samsung UI 8.5, everything is up to date.

I have the "Block AI Features" setting enabled, but I'm still getting the "Ask Gemini" option in the long-hold context menu for Firefox Mobile on Android.

Is there any way to remove this option? It's cluttering the context menu and I dont want to misclick it. Or otherwise, is this a known and tracked issue?

In firefox (on android 13) I cant access the sign-in page for stewardship.org.uk It works in Chrome and Edge from same wifi network. I have allowed all scripts and cookies and turned off mozilla vpn. I'm not sure how to troubleshoot. Same problem in my linux desktop. Firefox 154 updated today. Is there a troubleshoot mode in the mobile firefox? Thx.

Firefox keep self logging me out from the synchronization. This requires urgent fixing.

Expected result after fixing

Firefox should never (unconditionally) self logout the user from any devices and services (with includes synchronization

Proposed enchancement

Firefox should allow to be simously logged into services (like sync) from multiple authorized devices in same time, instead beeing selective

I thought tab groups should be available by now on android, why am I still unable to use them? I can't drag and drop (tried to no avail), there are no settings I can toggle and I'm really getting frustrated. I use the most recent version from the Play Store, and my phone is on Android 16, so "Software too old" can't be the case...

Please keep as in box as from popping up that is so tiring it interrupts whatever you're trying to do when you have all these ads always popping up it's too much thank you appreciate it something needs to be done! And don't like Gemini! Is bothersome!

I’m having an issue with a login page when using Firefox on my Android phone. The page opens normally, but after I enter my details and tap the login button, nothing seems to happen or the next page takes a long time to load.

I’ve tried refreshing the page and reopening Firefox, but the problem is still there. I noticed this while trying to access my aiou enrollment login.

Is there anything I should check in Firefox settings, such as cookies, cache, or site permissions, that could be causing this?

On my Android phone, I saw a Firefox add-on I didn't remember adding for mobile, so I removed it right away. When I went to search for it in the add-on store to see what it was, it wasn't there. It was a version of Privacy Possum, but it doesn't look like that is available for mobile. One Privacy Possum (for desktop) looks like it was a legitimate extension that has fallen out of date and one looks like a scam extension, I'd like to know which one I had installed. Is there a way to see what add-ons I had but removed?
